Oil treatment chemicals

  • The exact concentration of Pour Point Depressant (PPD)- SAP 905 which will be required will depend upon the type and amount of wax present in the fuel or crude oil and the required pour point depression. Experience indicates that this type of additive is generally effective in the range 0.01 to 0.15 % m/m.
  • The exact concentration of INFINEUM R 106 which will be required will depend upon the type and amount of wax present in the fuel or crude oil and the required pour point depression. Experience indicates that this type of additive is generally effective in the range 0.01 to 0.15 % m/m.
  • INFINEUM R 145 is a mixture of ashless polymers dissolved in petroleum derived solvent, which is particularly effective at improving the flow properties of intermediate fuels, heavy fuels and crude oils.
  • PARAFFINE WAX INHIBITOR TP-PWI 05 is a solvent solution of a combined polymeric wax inhibitor and dispersant. It is designed to act as a wax crystal modifier and dispersant in crude oils that contain sufficient wax to make handling a normal operating temperatures difficult. This handling difficulty is normally due to viscosity increases or wax precipitation in the system.
  • DEMULSIFIER CTP-6 is used for breakage of water-oil emulsions during oil dehydration to commercial condition by thermochemical sedimentation in process tanks at Floating Storage Offload (FSO) or oil treatment units (OTU).
  • XYLENE has a maijor use in the surface coatings industry where its slower evaporation rate than toluene and comparable solvency characteristics are important features. It is used in the formulation of automotive enamels and lacquers, baking enamels. Furniture lacquers, marine paints and other protective coating. It is used in the manufacture of alkyd resins.
Water treatment chemicals

  • COAGULANT CTP-1 is a highly cationic, low molecular weight coagulant, It is effective in liquids/solids separation processes including water and wastewater clarification, emulsion breaking downflow direct filtration.
  • FLOCCULANT CTP-2 may be injected as suppliedcor furtherdiluted with water. The recommended treatment rate is 1-10 ppm but dosage required will depend on the quality of the water and the physical parameters of the system. Used in water injection sytems, Flocculant CTP-2 is normaly injected upstream of the fine filters at approximetely 1 ppm. It is therefore recommended that dosage optimisation be carried out in the field. To ensure good mixing the product should be applied well upstream of the primary water separation unit.
  • ANTIFOAM CTP-3 is a highly concentrated type antifoam which exhibits improved efficiency over conventional sillicone antifoams. This product has excellent stability and is particularly useful in providing maximum foam control in highly alkaline systems and high temperature environments. Textile industry, cutting oil, non-freezing fluid, petrochemical industry, latex processing, roll sheet-iron grease removal process, paper and pulp industry.
  • ALPHA 3210-CORROSION INHIBITOR dissolved acid gases and biological deposits can cause severe corrosion to occur in oilfield water handling systems. Corrosion by products such as iron sultide, iron oxides and biological mass can cause plugging of downstream injection wells. Over a period of time, water system corrosion causes costly leaks and failures. Alpha 3210 is effective in seawater and light brines, including CaCl2 and CaBr2 brine solutions it can be diluted in low molecular weight alcohols or solt water for application purposes.
  • CORROSION INHIBITOR Cl 1490 is most effectivelv used by continuous injection by means of a chemical injection pump Cl 1490 is effective against H2S, CO2 and organic acids.
  • CORROSION INHIBITOR Cl 1491 is most effectively used by continuous injection by means of a chemical injection pump Cl 1491 is effective against H2S, CO2, organic acids and trace amounts of oxygen.
  • WTB-1 is a glutaraldehyde-based Water Treatment Biocide. WTB-1 is a synergistic blend of glutaraldehyde, formaldehyde and other propriety active ingredients which conbine the proven biocidal efficacy of glutaraldehyde with the surface active and bactericidal properties of other active additions. WTB-1 broad-spectrum biocide is especially effective in controlling sulfate-reducing bacteria, slimeforming bacteria and algae in seawater injection systems, cooling towers and other recirculating water systems.
  • Although the theoretical treatment with OXYGEN SCAVENGER CTP-7 should be at the ratio of 10:1 (CTP-7 : Oxygen on weight basis), it is sometimes found that low temperatures or competing side reactions will dictate higher usage. For this reason, actual oxygen concentration should be monitored using a suitable oxygen meter or colourimetric methods in order to optimise treatment. Bactericides containing aldehydes should not be simultaneously injected with CTP-7 as the effects of both chemicals would be diminished. Instead, the oxygen scavenger is often injected at an early stage of the system where it removes oxygen and its, itself, converted to a different and non-reactive chemical form. Then, the bactericide may be injected with no interference. Storage of CTP-7 should be in closed stainless steel, or coated mild steel, containers, or in suitable fibreglass or plastic tanks.
Oil yield increases chemicals

  • ACID AXETIC is used in the treatment at the bottom of oil well.
  • ACID HYDROFLUORIC is used in the treatment at the bottom of oil well.
  • CALCIUM CHLORIDE is added to water to provide the desired specific gravity or chloride content. CALCIUM CHLORIDE is very soluble and capable of increasing the density of water to 1.4 kg/l (11.6 lb/gal).
  • ACID CORROSION INHIBITOR (Mixture ACI-1 & ACI-2) : Never use ACI-1 below 1 gallon/Mgal. Anionic anti-sludging agents and water-wetting surfactants should be run on-the-fly. Always thoroughly mix the acid additives in the acid prior to leaving the service center and again before pumping downhole.
  • Although ACI-1 is compatible with most surfactants, demulsifiers and mutual solvents, care should be taken when designing acid treatments. Corrosion rates are tripled or quadrupled when anionic anti-sludging agents are added to the inhibited acid. Mutual solvents, cationic gelling agents and nonionic surfactants increase only slightly the corrosion rate of the inhibited acid package. Laboratory tests are highly recommended to determine the upper temperature limits of any acid system.
  • ACI-2 lowers corrosion rates dramatically at high temperatures when used with acid inhibitors allowing increased contact time between the acid and exposed steel. Reductions in corrosion weight loss can be in the range of 40 to 90% depending on the type of metal exposed. ACI-2 may be used with ACI-1, to limit high temperature corrosion rates on J-55, N-80, 13 Cr and coiled tubing. ACI-2 may be used with HCl, HCl-HF, and HCl-Acetic acids. It should not be used with pure organic acids such as acetic and formic.
  • SPECIAL ACID TP-04 is a mixture of some acids, corrosion inhibitor and surfactant. It is used for repairs or highly effective for treatment at the bottom of oil wells. Special acid should be used as supplied.
Surfactants : Kleen-TP

  • KLEEN-TP Dissolves instantly in water. Removes quickly surface solids, petroleum greases and oils. Corrosion inhibition of metallic floor or machine. Rinses fast and freely without the problem of stain/strek/film forming, cleaner residue.
